I had visited Prague back in 2007 with my then boyfriend. We entered a travel agency (yikes, do they still exist) and said we wanted to go somewhere next weekend - and we ended up in Prague. It was before I turned into the crazy travel organising person I am now, so while we did a few things, we missed most.
I returned this Spring, to visit a friend who now lives there, and we were able to enjoy many sights of the city - it was SOOOO warm though - and escape out to visit some of the surrounding castles - which resulted in a hilarious lunch in a samll café where the guy did not speak English - and we did not speak Czech. It was out in the sticks, so we couldn't even call Google Translate to the rescue. But we had some laughs and managed to order food (the food we expected was not exactly what arrived :D).
The largest church of Czechia, the gothic cathedral can be found in the Prague castle complex. Construction of the current structure began in 1344 but was not completed until 1929.
