The Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace (Museum of Air and Space), located in business airport Paris-Le Bourget, is one of those places dreams are made of, for kids and grown-ups alike.
I remember visiting years ago as a child, and loving the place. It's full of old planes and spacecrafts, and my personal fave the Boeing 747. It's also free - you just need to pay a small fee to board the big planes (like the 747 and the infamous Concorde). The one drawback seems to be the location, but to be fair there is an easy, direct (about 30 minutes ride) bus from Gare de l'Est :D
