Le musée du louvre

Le Louvre is one of my favourite places. When I was a student, I'd go in with my textbooks, sit on a bench and do my course work, surrounded by the beauty of the place. Not only the works of art on display, but also the building in itself. Each gallery is grandiose, and beautifully decorated.
I am no longer a student, but a visit to the Louvre, early on a Sunday morning - before the crowds arrive - is still a perfect treat.
