The Start of Something New...

I visited Florence six years ago. I have only just realised how long it's been. I have been lucky enough to visit many European cities over the past few years, but Florence is - without doubt - my favourite to date. It has the obvious appeal to someone like me - food, culture, art, architecture... But beyond all that, I found that is was quite a magical place, with an atmosphere quite unike any other I know. It was also my first 'photo' holiday - which makes it quite special. Before this trip, photos were merely a quick token of where I'd been, and I never paid that much attention to both taking them and looking at them once I was home. Florence was different. I was overwhelmed by it's beauty, and there were so many views, so many details I felt compelled to take home with me.
Florence was truly the start of my passion for photography. Any many other things...
