The Musée Rodin is very popular with tourists - I remember the crowds during my last visit, so this very peculiar summer seemed like the perfect time for another visit.
I have to admit Paris is quite weird at the moment. Quieter, since they are very few tourists and many Parisians have fled the city (this is normal, it happens every year in August). All the museums and sights are open, so I have been indulging a little. And while it's terrible for the tourist industry here, on a selfish level, it's very nice to be able to visit these deserted places.
The museum is set in a beautiful 18th century hotel particulier, and houses a very large collection, bequeathed to France by the artist himself. It overlooks a lovely garden and I especially love the way the light shines through the large and numerous windows and onto the sculptures.
